Funny Congrats On Your Baby Messages

Lisboa tango festival 2007

Impressioni sparse by Sabri

Premessa

Tra un acquazzone, a gust of wind, a sunny day, a hike, a treat, a cod, dinners and gatherings of friends we were at the festival for two nights.

Wednesday
After a dinner at my favorite restaurant in Alfama based tamboril with legumes (soup, monkfish, shrimp and vegetables) and espiritual bacalhau (salt cod baked with delicious ingredients unidentified) there We are perched on the steps where Wenders' Lisbon Story turned up the hill to Graça where the theater, the festival location.

The theater is a place strange, is not good theater, it's a building with offices serving the neighborhood, space, children's drawings on the walls, as public service announcements ... all over the city since Sunday I had not seen any, say about the festival I had no manifest a bit 'worried, so I took a ride on the afternoon of Wednesday. The goalkeeper, who was a lady of a certain age who looked like the janitor of my Elementary and was safely on the phone with a friend, when calmly assured me that he hung up from 19 would begin the festival.

And here, the room is on the top floor, the 5 window that you see on the facade.
... What about the impressive staircase and beautiful auditorium. Type strange, perhaps even originally designed for dancing. Rectangular, wooden floor, stage and two long stands.
Pick tickets for the show on Friday booked on the internet (what a relief, there were, and we have not even queued to withdraw) and pay the milonga of the night (15 euros), a little 'pricey if one wanted to go there every night I think but do not want go at least once? We do not pay the board though, so we sit on wooden seats fold type old cinema in the shadows.
While we wait a bit to digest 'the Pescioni Felix musicalizador salute to his table covered with tapes that tells us to not understand a word he's saying the Portuguese.
A jump to the bar, well situated in a corner and with home-made food, it seems, and staff who see that we put it all in life but never did the waiter.
There are people dancing, very high average age, and many Germans feel English.
And then on the track! Good floor, familiar music, a few clashes. On the track there is also Pablo Villaraza that dancing and joking with Dana Frigoli sudden, a pleasure to watch how they move, and how to have fun!

Friday
Friday was the show + milonga COLORTANGO Orchestra (which will be at the village Thursday) and four pairs of dancers Pablo and Dana, Roberto Herrera and Tamara Bisceglia, Alejandra Mantignana and Miss Gabriel, Juan Capriotti and Graciana Romero.
.. Well .. what about when the show begins is always a great emotion!
The delay was limited, considering the Portuguese style
He started the band with two songs then turn again with the orchestra and the dancers took turns a young singer, to be honest I thought it was halfway between Claudio Villa and I do not know what, not at all in keeping with the kind of musicality of COLORTANGO.

Sui dancers:

Graciana Romero and Juan Capriotti: he did not like it at all, drive, set, she put it all there, Bravin, also very nice, but frankly among the dancers who are usually in milonga from us there are better ones. I think we teach in Lisbon

Mantignn Alejandra and Gabriel Miss: she really liked me, I think it comes from a standard school dances, most beautiful woman but cool, dance like those couples you see in American movies with jennifer lopez. He great prowess, it releases energy, I think the better dancer milonga, but only danced tango, his legs were much more expressive and faster than hers.

Roberto Herrera and Tamara Bisceglia: well as tangos in a very classic style, they danced and he also chacarera a folk dance called bolas and dance with ropes e delle sfere di metallo (solo uomini) nella pampa.

Pablo Villaraza e Dana Frigoli: bè..solo loro valevano la pena. Li avevo già visti al festival di Mantova. Nessuna delle altre coppie aveva la stessa eleganza, sintonia, naturalezza. Li ho filmati in oblivion.

Lo spettacolo è durato long, was varied, the alternation of pairs of dancers, all with different styles and characteristics. Then Felix
milonga with orchestra and dancers while eating and drinking in the lounge, again with live music COLORTANGO. How obvious
the milonga was impractical, given the appeal of the show was a real pit, a bumper car. People of all levels and in different styles. Little dancing, it was stressful than fun.
Great majority of women, but no one has asked a English Wednesday. There were also dancers known
of Trento and Bolzano. At 3
Felix took over, but now I finished unperturbed cells taxi ... e. .. home!

Nico Robin Trilher Bark Hentei

legendary dancers: Milena Plebs

Plebs Milena baila el tango.

Legendary, ethereal, strange, artist, smart, intelligent, committed, what you can 'say Milena Plebs and not' yet been said? Milena Plebs

personally knew only hearsay, I read a lot about her, one evening I asked therefore more 'information to a great master of tango, Federico Rodriguez Moreno, who said: "Max, and Milena Plebs' part of the history of the tango "... This me enough '.

To reach a new stage in the tango, you have to wait until the last 80 years and Tango x 2 Milena Plebs and Miguel Angel Zotto, of which the two dancers are initially the only authors and actors. This sums up their first show the enthusiasm and sincerity with which the new wave of young tango dancers is collecting the baton milonguero wisdom and teachings of great masters. A small group of dancers who, for the first time in decades, wants to know and make their own the secret poetry of tango, which lists the value of milongueros, he studied the style of the creators, returns to the classic efficiency, tests one by one, like pylons of a cableway, the developmental stages of dance, and finally restores the expressive potential of a language that the majority of young Argentines still considers, rightly, more dead than a sacred hymn.

Some of these dancers were:
Milena Plebs and Miguel Angel and Osvaldo Zotto, Guillermina Quiroga, Pablo Veron, Gustavo Naveira etc. etc.

Just look at some of his video to see what stuff is made Milena Plebs, and especially what it means to el tango DANCE:
Thanks Milena

In Italy, Milena Plebs will 'in Sardinia 1 to 3 June 2007, where, in addition to holding seminars tango will premier his latest work, a video entitled: "Milena baila el tango ... with Ezequiel Farfaro "

Pedestal Fanelectricity Consumption

birthday photos Max - 13/05/2007

thank all the fantastic members of the Clandestine Tango Club for the wonderful and beautiful holiday gifts, I take this opportunity to reiterate what has already been 'delivered via e-mail:

The incredible magic of the tango has given us, I think it just to have allowed a all completely different group of people to join together and make a new path in life (often unexpected) together.

No more than a couple of decades ago, I watched with derision people who danced in pairs, and probably not the only one to have done, unaware of what would happen next.

tango thank you for letting me know all of you with whom I shared a lot more than just 'things in such a' short time than I could share in years with non-tango.
A double thread, which, although each of us has taken the path of the different nuances of the tango, has become inextricably linked (so you write '?).

Elena, who thank you 'for having always led hand in hand past the curtain that there' among those who dance and those who do not dance, putting up with my frustrations, insecurities, for the folly of getting me an internship Frederick never having taken a tango lesson.
She, who could easily teach or perform a thousand times better than many others, preferred to wait to be close to me, attending a passionate full of courses, lectures and workshops for beginners with me, enduring the typical paranoia that exist when you and 'so' inexperienced and you realize how fraught and 'the hill that leads to knowledge of the tango.
Thank you for having awakened the tango and that 's always been in me. I love you.

Albert and Veronica, who could not attend the party, spared no effort to go and celebrate together, however, a beautiful Saturday evening. Paola

for always available to his house to celebrate, dancing, studying and listening to tango.

And finally, without any controversy, I thank Walter, who unknowingly, from the beginning of this adventure spurred me to improve to match.

With all my heart.

She-Man?

Here is another fine book, where the tango is not the main theme, but it's an excuse to say the least, to make a reflection on the woman and her virilization.

says Marina Terragni it "The disappearance of women" (Knopf):

"have fallen into the ambiguity be considered "work, emancipation and freedom" as different ways of saying the same thing, meant that the model of freedom on which shape themselves, their ambitions, desires, including sexual desire, for many women end up be the male model. "

What is the budget that can be drawn today, after decades of fast change?
What are the common places that do not take any more?
Is it possible for women to achieve equality without falling over and Opportunities be free and emancipated without losing the difference?

" Try to take some tango lessons and you will realize that today per una donna la cosa più difficile è abbandonarsi come una dolce zavorra, lasciarsi sbatacchiare, cedere con fiducia.

Tornare donne. Tornare in noi e fare festa”.

Perché, conclude Marina Terragni, quello che si può fare per gli uomini “è onorare la mia, di differenza.
Quello che posso fare per loro è semplicemente essere una donna”.
Ed è tutto quello che le donne possono fare per sé.
