La dottoressa Paola Corsetti, responsabile dei Servizi Sociali ha illustrato gli interventi finora realizzati dall’assessorato per migliorare la qualità di vita degli immigrati. L’assistente sociale Paola Timotini e Charles Chukwubike, rispettivamente coordinatrice e mediatore culturale della Maison du Monde, hanno spiegato la tipologia di interventi e servizi che dal 2001 offre il servizio agli immigrati, ma più in generale a tutti coloro, immigrati e non, che ne facciano richiesta.

La dottoressa Giuseppina Careca (ASL Latina) ha illustrato come negli ultimi 10 anni gli immigrati in provincia siano raddoppiati passando dai 10.020 del ‘98 ai 24.237 del 2007, e rappresentano una grande forza lavoro che incide in maniera determinante sullo sviluppo dell’economia locale. “Nonostante ciò - ha detto la dottoressa Careca - non si può ancora parlare di vera integrazione e permane una carenza di conoscenza dei diritti. La prima volta che ho visto Villa Rossi a Gattaiola (LU), mi ha tolto il fiato.
Una villa antica e prestigiosa su 3 piani, del XVI secolo, ci si arriva immersi nel sogno della campagna lucchese, circondati da alberi secolari e 4 km di parco, entrata importante, stanze enormi, pavimenti in marmo, quadri, tendaggi preziosi in broccato e velluto, candelabri e lampadari di cristallo..... Non come quelle dalle nostre parti che sono state tutte (o quasi) perfettamente restaurate per poi tenerle assolutamente chiuse se non per aprirle a qualche matrimonio o convegno di lusso.

Appena entrati ci accoglie l’inossidabile e sorridente Doris, improvvisamente penso :”azz... Tango Querido me l’ha fatta ancora! Non bastava lo splendido Caffe’ di Simo , o l’Accademia delle Arti Orafe, ora anche la Villa da film sulla vita di Mozart !! E che e’!!! Dicevano Benigni e Troisi in “Non ci resta che piangere” mentre scrivevano la lettera al Savonarola. Ora basta! Ma come fanno a trovare tutti questi posti belli cosi’ here in Lucca? "

Questa sera sono musicalizador a Villa Rossi per Tango Querido, il posto mi ispira un casino, creo le tande a mente tra una curva e l’altra del tratto Bologna – Firenze...

Arrivato a Villa Rossi, attacco il computer all’impianto e approfitto dell’occasione per conoscere la proprietaria della residenza, la nota scrittrice Francesca Duranti.
